Received Box 2 of 2 from Van's. Guessing Box 1 will arrive next week. This contains the skins and some of the other hardware to build the tail section. I also noticed that I forgot to order a bucking bar. I deleted the tungsten bucking bar to save myself $117. We will see if that is a dumb move in the future. Today I ordered a bucking bar set from Northern Tool which comes with 4 bars for $59.

Complete aircraft toolkit from Cleveland Tools arrived. I have done inventory and found one missing cleco clamp. Quick phone call and I see almost instantly it is in the mail, no questions asked. Great people.  Amazing how many tools they can fit into this box.

Day one for my new BLOG

This site will serve as a chronicle of the education process as I learn the ins and outs of aircraft design and construction. I have chosen to build a Vans RV-7 which is a two seat experimental aircraft. This will be an enormous undertaking as I will need to learn the skills necessary as I go. I have taken a class on sheet metal aircraft construction offered by the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) which should give me a head start.

I will do my best to update you with many pictures and video along the way.
